Bioenergy

Sweden’s future energy supply will come from solid fuel-heated facilities to a much greater extent and within Scandinavia the pellet market is growing fast. In Sweden alone, production has doubled in just a few years.

Combustion with solid fuel is a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly solution compared to other fuels, and Kellve is an active participant in the development of solid fuel-heated facilities.

We provide products and solutions within the entire handling process for bio energy facilities, with reception, transport, storage, output and ash handling for such fuels as coal, peat, chips and fuel pellets.

Over the past few years, we have supplied a number of larger facilities in Scandinavia. Among our projects is a silo plant for Derome bio energy with a volume of 13,255 m3. The project also included conveyor equipment from the pellet factory to the silo, temperature monitoring and aspiration. The plant has a driver-operated loading system to bulk vehicles via a separate loading silo, equipped with weighing cells.

For a silo plant measuring 26,500 m3 in Ulricehamn, there were extremely high demands and safety requirements with regard to fire protection, and included in the project in addition to the silo was equipment for temperature monitoring and the capacity to circulate the wooden pellets out, around and back into the silo to cool the material. The plant was fully enclosed and also included the delivery and installation of filters and aspiration equipment.
